Nice attack: 50 people 'between life and death', says HollandeFifty people injured in the Bastille Day attack in Nice are in a critical condition "between life and death", President Francois Hollande has said. At least 84 people died, including more than 10 children, after a lorry crushed them along 2km (1.2 miles) of the Promenade des Anglais on Thursday. The driver, named by sources as French-Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, 31, was shot dead by police. President Hollande, who is in Nice, said the attack was of "an undeniable terrorist nature". |

EC sets July 18 for re-registration of deleted NHIS registrantsThe Electoral Commission has set Monday, July 18 for the re-registration of National Health Insurance (NHIS) registrants whose names have been deleted from the register. The Director of Electoral Services at the Commission says the exercise will last for ten days. Inflation declines to 18.4 percent in JuneThe Consumer Price Inflation (CPI) for June, declined marginally to 18.4% from 18.9% in May 2016 The monthly change rate was 1.3% in June 2016 compared to 1.1% recorded in May this year. According to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), food inflation went up to 8.6% in June compared to 8.5% in May 2016. The non food inflation rate however declined from 25 to 24.1 percent between the one month period. Meanwhile, the inflation rate for imported items increased to 27.1% in June, from the 18.5 percent recorded in May 2016. |
