The Black Stars contingent is in Moscow for the international friendly against the Golden Eagles

The Black Stars have arrived in Moscow ahead of an international friendly against Russia at the Stadion Lokomotiv on Tuesday, a day after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifier against Rwanda.

Ghana shared the spoils 1-1 with the Amavubi at the Accra Sports Stadium to top Group H.

The friendly is expected to hold amid controversies.

Executive committee member of Ghana FA, Wilfred Kwaku Osei, has confirmed the arrangement but insists the association will run at a loss.

"This friendly is coming on so Ghanaians should keep their calm. Everything is under control and the players are in good shape," Osei told Goal.

"Even the money that the Russians are offering is only $150,000 and it's likely we will run at a loss after the game.

"However, it is very necessary that we honour this game because we have a World Cup qualifying game against Uganda in November. The coach will have a fair idea of the strategy and formation he will want to adopt against Uganda since the friendly will be a platform for experimentation," he added.

The Black Stars trained on Monday with a full house, with the exception of Bechem United striker Abednego Tetteh, who was released on Saturday to help his club in the Ghana FA Cup final against Okwawu United.

The kick off of the friendly is 16h00 GMT.
