Concerned Minority members condemn political fakery

Some Concerned National Democratic Congress Members of Parliament have condemned the alleged endorsement of former President John Dramani Mahama as the Party’s Presidential candidate for the 2020 polls.

They have therefore described that action by some members who allegedly passed the paper round for signatures as fakery adding, “… fakery is not sustainable.”

In a statement signed by Mr Joseph Naabu, Member of Parliament for Yunyoo constituency in the Northern Region and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said it was unfortunate for a party that was fighting to wrestle power from their opponents could engage in that trickery.

He said the Professor Kwesi Botchwey report stated unequivocally that there was the need for the party to drill down to the recommended action plans contained in the report, in order to save it.

“Peddling false news and driving unhealthy wedges within the ranks of NDC Parliamentarians is certainly not one of the recommendations on the rebuilding process.” . . .
